Would you like to create your own business in the field of technology? Do you need help to achieve that? The largest startup accelerator in the world, the Founder Institute Silicon Valley, has come back to Cascais with an acceleration program that allows entrepreneurs to create and leverage their company in a structured way. Next May 31, at 18:30, will take place, in the auditorium of DNA Cascais, the first information session on the program.
From May 31st to September 8th there will be held six public meetings,all of them totally free of charge. Registrations for the program will close on the September 19th, the program starts on September 27th and will last for four months.
This initiative is aimed at all those who are passionate about creating a technology company: with or without ideas, with or without projects, with or without business experience. It is not even necessary to leave your job, as the sessions are to be held after working hours.
To graduate, the entrepreneur will have to develop an attractive idea for a technology company, plan their business, work in an offer, build his company and complete all necessary tasks – all in a period of four months and always with the counseling of Founder Institute Silicon Valley.
The program is made by the Founder Institute Silicon Valley in Cascais, being necessary to establish admission criteria that identify entrepreneurial personality traits of candidates.
On average, the FI only accepts 30% of candidates and performance inthe Admissions Prediction Test is the predominant factor in admission.
The admitted candidates will have to develop, over the graduation course, practical actions forthe creation of their business, receiving the advice of national and international CEO’s . They will also have privileged access to contacts with startups and experts, as well as information about partners and events based in Silicon Valley.
Program Objectives
The aim of the Founder Institute, DNA Cascais’s partner, is to globalize Silicon Valley’s model, improving the success rate of initiatives, by providing entrepreneurs that have great potential with specialized training, feedback on key goals and assistance in the setting up phase of a business.
Results of the latest editions
Created in 2009, the Founder Institute has helped launch more than a thousand companies in 55 cities and five continents. In Cascais this program has helped launch dozens of companies, such as Clickly.co and Climber.
