Last November 26, was held in Paris the final of HandsOn Startup Tour, the largest startup competition in Europe. During three months this competition visit the 8 major European cities of entrepreneurship (Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris, Stockholm, Cascais, London and Barcelona) attended by the actors of the local ecosystem, that had the opportunity to participate in a competition where the knowledge , networking and fun had always been present.
On the 2nd edition in Europe, this competition had the global or regional support of sponsors and referral partners: Carrefour (global sponsor), DNA Cascais, Microsoft, LeWeb, IBM, Google, EBAN, Rabobank, Bpifrance, Rockstart, Barcelona Activa, Telekom, Startup Night, CBS, Rainmaking Loft, Startupbootcamp, Founder Institute and Barcinno.
More than 350 startups applied to local stages, among them 68 were selected to perform a pitch of 90 seconds followed by 4 minutes of questions and answers with a jury of entrepreneurs, investors and reference reporters. In the final event, 16 finalists representing 8 countries were present at Microsoft’s headquarters in France to compete for a trip week to Silicon Valley (USA).
The schedule for the adventure in Silicon Valley will be revealed in January but Rodrigo Barros, founder of HandsOn.TV (https://www.handson.tv/) and event promoter, states that “in addition to visit large companies 8 Winners surprised by the quality of the meetings that will be organized with investors and world-recognized entrepreneurs. The winners of the final stage in Paris, were TutoToons (Spain), Optimiam (France), Glowee (France), Signaturit (Spain), Antelope.Club (Germany), ProdPad (United Kingdom), Powr of You (United Kingdom) and Inviita (Portugal).
